Meet Brother Rasheed Welsh (@flykiddthegreat). Brother Welsh is the Tail of FA18 VindiKation: The Gallant 6 and our Strategus.
Bro. Welsh is a Senior from Kingston, Jamaica majoring in Communications and minoring Technology Entrepreneurship. He currently is the CEO of his own non-profit organization Rasheed Clothing Drive Project (RCDP) in which he donates winter clothing during the fall and winter seasons for the homeless and less fortunate across the DMV. He is a member of the Hillman Entrepreneur Program, a second degree black belt in karate, and a former member of the National Combine Martial Arts Team of Jamaica. This spring, Bro. Welsh will be interning as a junior consultant for The Hotel College Park Department of Higher Education and in the summer he will intern with The Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia as he aims to become a criminal Defense Attorney. He looks to continue to achieve in every endeavor, initiate a chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. in Jamaica, and continue to make our chapter and fraternity prosper.
Meet Brother Landen Buckson (@landen_guapo). Brother Buckson is the Five of FA18 VindiKation: The Gallant 6 and our Second Vice Polemarch.
Bro. Buckson is a Sophomore from Bowie, Maryland in the Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is the Director of Communications for the Smith Business Academy, a Smith Ambassador, and a member of the QUEST Honors Program. He interned with Deloitte this past summer, and will be returning to Deloitte this summer to intern in their Audit and Tax divisions. He is currently focused on his artistic entrepreneurial endeavors and has just launched his new Instagram and Twitter pages (@landen_creates). He always strives for excellence, is exploring business career opportunities, and hopes to incorporate creativity into his professional career.
Meet Brother Jalen Green ( @thatkidjay17 ). Brother Green is the Quad of FA18 VindiKation: The Gallant 6 and our Director of Guide Right. Bro Green is a computer science major with a focus in cybersecurity from Prince George’s County Maryland. He currently is Vice President of the UMCP chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery. Bro Green is also currently working a co-op with technology solutions company Leidos this semester and will continue working with them through the summer. He aims to help more minorities be successful in computer science at both the college level and the career level.
Bro. Landen Buckson ( @landen_guapo )showcased his artwork in the @umd_dst The Essence of Art Event. His art page is @landen_creates and he regularly creates & sells paintings and prints as well!
Meet Brother Isaiah Cromer (@realdealzayy). Brother Cromer is the Tr3 of FA18 VindiKation: The Gallant 6 and our Assistant Keeper of Records. Bro Cromer is a junior broadcast journalism major with a focus in sports from Prince George’s County. He currently is a resident assistant in Cambridge Hall, an intern for the number one show on ESPN, Pardon the Interruption (PTI), a Production Assistant with the Big Ten Network, and a Video Assistant with Maryland Athletics. Last summer Bro. Cromer worked as a sports intern with CBS and had the opportunity to attend the NBA Draft and interview Odell Beckham Jr. This upcoming summer, Bro. Cromer will intern with either ESPN or the NBA and looks to continue to achieve in the sports industry.
Meet Brother David Livingstone (@ricodavee). Brother Livingstone is the Deuce of TnT’s Fall 18 line, VindiKation: The Gallant 6. Bro. Livingstone is a Senior from Laurel, MD majoring in Kinesiology. He is the current 2018-2019 Mister Caribbean Student Association and is also an intern for the University of Maryland Sport Medicine Department.
For this Kappa Week, we are perpetuating the message of growth and improvement on our continued quest to #achieve. We are greater men now than we were before we crossed those burning Sandz. Like our brothers Ben Jealous and Colin Kaepernick, we will go on to achieve in our respective endeavors. In part for the brotherhood we are a part of, we are greater than we were before and will continue to be greater.

Join us and our Kappa Kourt starting this Sunday for a week of events beneficial for everyone in the greater UMD community! We will also be hosting a winter clothing drive (gloves, hats, and scarves) for those that do not have the resources to survive this cold weather. Bring donations to every event next week!
Meet Brother Diran Balogun (@diranthadon). Brother Balogun is the Ace of FA18 VindiKation: The Gallant 6 and our Assistant Keeper of Exchequer.
Bro. Balogun is a Senior from London, England double majoring in Accounting and Information Systems. He currently is the President of The National Association of Black Accountants, an intern for PNNL under the US DOE, and a Corporate Real Estate Finance Intern in PNC Bank’s Regional Corporate HQ. Last semester he earned a 3.8 GPA and also received the "Most Oustanding Junior Award" from the Robert H. Smith School of Business. This upcoming Summer Brother Balogun will be interning with the second largest Accounting firm worldwide, PwC. He looks to continue to achieve in every endeavor and continue to make our chapter prosper.
